You start your career as a Block Head and can rise up to the Zonal head. A manager is a member of BTNB who holds a position of authority. To be able to lead and control, requires the ability to motivate you, inspire others and make tough decisions efficiently. When you join to become a manager, we’ll help you develop your leadership and management skills, preparing you fully to take on the challenge of leading in real life situations. Lessons in team work, developing communication skills and confidence, honing strategic and dynamic thinking and preparing you to face pressures with ease are grilled into an Officer during his training. The BT News Broadcasting teaches you all, not only making men and women of young boys and girls but making them leaders in life. An officer’s strength of character and strong moral compass make him/her stand out from the crowd at all times.

As an Officer in the BT News Broadcasting, you will inherit a glorious heritage and timeless traditions of the BTNB, blended perfectly with the latest technology. As an officer in the BT News Broadcasting you will strategise, lead and manage. Depending on your qualifications, you could join one of the various branches in the BTNB. As a graduate with 2-3 years experience with energetic personality, Strong communication skills, excellence presentation skill you can fly into a challenging and rewarding career in the BT News Broadcasting depending upon your educational qualification, you could apply for different positions also. Join the Editorials : The BT News Broadcasting welcomes students with all levels of journalism experience. We will provide the training and skills you need to be a top journalist. There are currently opportunities in News, Opinion, Sports, Arts, Design, and the copydesk, Video.

Each section has its own process for joining. Students may apply and become a member of more than one section. However, staff members may not write for both the news and opinion sections. Students also may not work on both the editorial and business staffs. Read below to find out more information about each section.

If you love to be in-the-know and enjoy talking to leaders, administrators and government officials, then the news section is where you belong.

The news section includes four beats: State government, City, Crime, University administration and academics, a new reporter begins as a general assignment writer and will cover stories in all beats. All reporters are expected to write at least one story per week. To join the news section, applicants must submit a résumé and 6 passport size photo, Id & Address proof, education proof and cover letter explaining why they want to join.

If you like to tell others what’s on your mind, then the opinion section is just for you. The section consists of editorial board members, columnists and cartoonists.

The main responsibilities of editorial board members are to attend editorial board meetings. Each month, members are required to write at least two viewpoint. Edit board meets every week on Saturday. During meetings, members discuss the editorial topics of the week. Anyone who has an opinion about Local, state or national issues should consider applying to be on the board.

Want to write about the cricket? Want to walk on the field at the Big House? Maybe you'd rather interview MS Dhoni or Virat Kohali, Saniya Mirza, after or hockey game. Then the sports section is the place for you. New writers will begin by reporting on non-revenue sports such as soccer, tennis and baseball. After covering several sports, writers will have the opportunity to work their way up to the basketball, hocke,l,y and football beats. Requirements to join the sports staff include attending a sports meeting and shadowing an experienced writer before writing your first story. Afterward, you can volunteer for stories at our weekly Saturday meetings.

Arts is the place for you to express your feelings, defend or attack the onslaught of reality TV or write an in-depth piece that explores zombies on campus. It's also the home of the funny photo captions. Arts is divided into five subsections — Music, Film, TV/New Media, Fine Arts and Community Culture — among which applicants must choose when applying. Arts also produces The B-Side — a four-page weekly insert with features about local and national Arts issues.

Daily Arts writers are responsible for at least one 500- to 600-word article per week, although many choose to write more. Staffers must also attend weekly Saturday meetings.

Are you interested in graphic design? Did you love working for our National News Magazine (Main Issue)? Do you know what the Adobe Suite is? If you answered yes to one of these questions, Design may be the place for you!

Design is in charge of layout for the entire news magazine, as a designer you will learn how to use Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as valuable hands-on technical and design experience that you truly cannot get anywhere else on campus.

Anyone with a healthy aversion for dangling modifiers, ambiguous prepositions is encouraged to join copy and help us polish the news magazine.

The main responsibilities of the copy desk include fact-checking news and opinion articles and correcting grammar, syntax and style. If you consider yourself a “grammar nut,” “accuracy nut” or just a nut in general, you will find yourself right at home at the copy desk.

Requirements to join copy include attending a brief orientation about responsibilities as a copy editor and participating in three training sessions. A copy test is also given. Upon passing the test, copy editors will be allowed to proof articles on their own.

Ever dream of being the next Steven Spielberg or winning an Emmy for a gut-wrenching documentary? But before making it big, you have to start somewhere. Come practice your filmmaking skills by producing videos for the BTNB.

Videographers will be expected to shoot and/or edit video clips 2 to 5 minutes in length. Videos may be produced for news, sports and arts stories or as stand-alone feature clips. Basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro or other film editing programs is necessary.
